It all began in the summer of 2024, when we decided to give destiny a nudge and agreed to a setup.

After a month of just texting and phone calls (yes, Sagar’s Android phone meant no FaceTime – a topic we may revisit), it was clear we could talk for hours. From belly laughs to even a few tears, we soon realized that, despite the different time zones, we had found something timeless. Our first date confirmed it: that undeniable spark made us certain fate had played a hand in bringing us together. We both felt like we’d found our perfect “sunset chaser plus one.”

The Beginning

As our friendship grew, so did our connection. We discovered a shared love for family, friends, community, sports, and, most importantly, our Indian and American heritage. From helicopter rides over NYC and games of Jenga to boat rides in Miami, every moment we spent together made us feel like soulmates with a spark.

The Proposal

Sagar planned a proposal with sunset views over Santa Monica Beach and a glass of Louis XV bubbly to set the mood. While the details remain a little blurry (Sima was mesmerized by the ring, and Sagar decided to “wing it”), the proposal was heartfelt. The botched audio recording only adds to the memory. We topped off the night with a celebration feast alongside family and friends.

Our Next Chapter

As we prepare to say “I do” on May 25, 2025, we’re beyond thrilled to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Our love has been filled with joy, support, friendship, and adventure, and we can’t wait to see where the future takes us.
